Configuration Management – best practices today and tomorrow

Hamburg - Configuration Management in the Aerospace Industry has a long and traditional background. Managing customer requirements efficiently and reducing time to market, as well as simultaneously reducing costs, are the current and future challenges for the complex Aerospace world. Are historically grown processes still applicable and do they answer the market needs?

CIMPA, an Airbus subsidiary, organises, together with the Institute for Configuration Management, on 27 June, 2006 a conference “Configuration Management in the Aerospace Industry" at Airbus, Hamburg-Finkenwerder. The international conference presents solutions from top organisations such as Airbus, Eurocopter, Boeing and CIMPA. There will be time to exchange views and best practices. ICM and GfKM

The Institute of Configuration Management (ICM) is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. It is best known for its’ Configuration Management II model, Configuration Management II training and certification programmes.

GfKM is the Home of Configuration Management II (CMII) in Europe. CMII is the de-facto standard for configuration management processes in the world. GfKM provides CMII training and services in Europe since 1998. More than 5,000 configuration managers in the world are CMII certified.
