Linde AG Selects MatrixOne's Matrix10 PLM Platform to Enable Cross-Enterprise Collaboration and to Optimize Product Data Management and Innovation Cycles

Westford, Mass. – August 24, 2004 –  MatrixOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: MONE), a leading provider of collaborative Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced that global equipment manufacturer Linde AG has selected MatrixOne's Matrix10 PLM environment as the foundation for the Company's collaborative engineering efforts in its Materials Handling business segment. The Matrix10 deployment will enable Linde to reach its strategic objectives in the area of product management. Linde is a worldwide leading provider of forklift truck and warehouse equipment and services.

The Matrix10 implementation encompassing approximately 1,200 desktops will allow Linde to improve product quality while simultaneously reducing production costs and accelerating time to market.
