COMPASS ready for SolidWorks Integration V5

Karlsfeld, Germany – 25. August, 2004 – Shortly after the release of the German version of SolidWorks 2005, COMPASS systems will release its V5-Integration to SolidWorks. The new interface will integrate SolidWorks into COMPASS and is going to be delivered with the new version of COMPASS, version 4.2.

The SolidWorks Integration V5 supports the products SolidWorks 2004 and SolidWorks 2005 in COMPASS 2000 and, at the same time, extends the complete scope of functionality of the interface.

More simple:

  • Neutral formats, as PDF or eDrawing, can be generated and managed in COMPASS as secondary documents and secondary files.

More efficient:

  • New filter dialog for the functions open, insert and replace.
  • Generating of drawings for a component and inserting this component directly into the drawing.
  • Support of any kind of generated list of materials of SolidWorks.

The decisive parameters for realizing the further developments of the integration were easy usage and high efficiency. This large amount of quality arising from the combination of both technologies was awarded the Gold Product Status, an exclusive seal of approval. This new award for COMPASS guarantees advantages for all users, who want to work with the latest PDM technology in the 3D environment of SolidWorks.
