At National Manufacturing Week: PTC Debuts Complete Product Development System For Industry’s Most Comprehensive PLM Solution

Together with Performance Partners Powerski International and Santa Cruz Bicycles, PTC will Demonstrate Comprehensive Capabilities for Distributed Product Development
CHICAGO, Ill., February 23, 2004 - PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC) will debut its new Product Development System (PDS) this week in Booth #3418 at the National Manufacturing Week National Design Engineering Show at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago.

PTC’s PDS is a suite of integrated product and service offerings that enable manufacturers to create high fidelity digital representations of products, collaborate and share that information within organizations and with partners, suppliers and customers, and control and manage that product information in product development processes throughout a product’s lifecycle.

Joined by performance partners, Powerski International and Santa Cruz Bicycles, and software partners Adobe Systems, Blue Ridge Numerics and CD Adapco Group,  PTC will demonstrate the capabilities of its PDS and the value it provides for thousands of companies worldwide.  Using PTC’s PDS, manufacturing companies of all sizes have an approachable, low-risk way to quickly and reliably implement product lifecycle management within their operations.

“PTC is the only vendor to offer comprehensive create, collaborate, and control capabilities on an architecture that is integral, Internet, and interoperable,” says PTC Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer James Heppelmann. “PTC’s Product Development System removes the complexity, cost, and risk from Product Lifecycle Management initiatives and addresses the challenges manufacturers face today when seeking more customer input while developing products across multiple sites and relying on suppliers for a significant portion of their design and manufacturing activities.”
