EDS PLM Solutions and Adobe Systems Announce Reseller Agreement For Teamcenter PLM Portfolio

ATK Thiokol Propulsion, Textron/Cessna Aircraft, Nissan Motors, Northrop Grumman, Orbital Sciences and Raytheon Are Among the Major Manufacturing Companies Creating “Rapid Market Acceptance” of New Computer-Aided Engineering Analysis (CAE) Software
PLANO, Texas and San Jose- November 3, 2003 - EDS PLM Solutions today announced it has sold more than 5,000 licenses for NX Nastran, its new world-class digital simulation and analysis software, in the eight weeks since its introduction in early September. Targeted at the high-growth computer-aided engineering analysis (CAE) market, NX Nastran is demonstrating a high degree of early market acceptance.

Leading companies choosing EDS PLM Solutions’ NX Nastran to date include:

  • ATA Engineering, San Diego, California, has selected NX Nastran to support its analysis and test-driven engineering solutions business.
     
  • ATK Thiokol Propulsion will deploy NX Nastran at its Promontory, Utah facilities.
     
  • Cessna, as part of an enterprise contract, has selected NX Nastran and Femap® as core structural analysis tools.
     
  • A leading North American off-highway equipment manufacturer has selected NX Nastran as part of a corporate-wide agreement.
     
  • Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. is installing NX Nastran at Nissan Technical Center North America in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
     
  • Northrop Grumman Corporation, Space Electronics Division in Southern California, will deploy NX Nastran.

  • Raytheon Company will supplement its existing analysis environment with NX Nastran at its Space & Airborne Systems Division located in El Segundo and Santa Barbara, California.

Existing EDS PLM Solutions customers will be able to obtain NX Nastran as an extension to their current NX Digital Simulation product set.
