(NASDAQ: MONE), a leading provider of collaborative product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions for the value chain™, today announced that BAE SYSTEMS North America, a global systems company, has extended their existing deployment of MatrixOne's technology to develop a universal design environment for classified program information within their Information and Electronic Warfare Systems (IEWS) business unit which will enable them to significantly reduce product development costs.

To achieve this, BAE SYSTEMS will use MatrixOne Engineering Central™, an application designed to manage product engineering data and processes throughout the entire product lifecycle. This will allow BAE SYSTEMS to create a single product design environment that can be accessed by different engineering organizations across the IEWS business unit. Through the deployment of a universal PLM solution across both the unclassified and classified projects within multiple lines of business, IEWS will be able to significantly reduce costs for training, operations and data flow into their manufacturing systems.
