Press reports June 2003 deal with EDM/PDM

Darmstadt, Germany, June 30, 2003 -
Not only in the automotive industry, but also in the aerospace and other industries, suppliers are no longer involved in developing individual components but complete modules and systems instead. The simple exchange of CAD data is no longer sufficient for the purpose of coordinating distributed development: The development partners also require the structure data and other product data such as updates and revisions stored in TDM/PDM or ERP systems. PROSTEP now offers Teamcenter Engineering (previously I-man) users the option of using the engineering data workflow solution OpenDXM® to transmit this data from their PDM system – practically at the push of a button.
